This week’s episode of Dagashi Kashi sure was an episode of Dagashi Kashi. There is virtually nothing at all to critique in this show, given each episode is very nearly the same, they all have fairly low ambitions, and they all succeed and fail in very minor ways. The show sets itself a low bar and slowly rises over it every single week, occasionally disappointing by trying too hard to be funny, occasionally finding success by leaning into its character relationships. It is a very harmless show.

Kokonotsu wonders why Hotaru wants Yo

So they hide in a box. Lots of intimacy/sexuality shots here

Yo just eats a bunch of the merchandise, and Hotaru is predictably jealous

Saya thinking about how if Kokonotsu took over the shop, he’d stick around forever

They’re trying to make the “most typical dagashi shop,” and want Yo as the shop manager

Yo is good at creating bonds with the customers, and making them feel happy they came

Saya’s dagashi talents appear once again

This is a supremely harmless episode. Barely any jokes at all
