Winter 2024 – Week 10 in Review

Hello folks, and welcome back to Wrong Every Time! It’s been a thoroughly productive week on my end, as our regular film viewings were accompanied by maybe fifty episodes of rapid-fire anime viewing, continuing our gallant charge through the extended Gundam universe. Unfortunately, that impressive episode total was only made possible because what we were watching wasn’t terribly interesting; as it turns out, it’s pretty easy to burn through anime when you only have to pay a quarter of a mind’s attention to it. Nonetheless, it feels immensely satisfying to again be making such rapid progress on this grand project, and I’m eager to continue on with the esteemed Char’s Counterattack. But for now, let’s explore the fruits of our labors, as we chart a course through the Universal Century and beyond!

G Gundam – Episode 2

Alright, time to watch G Gundam’s second episode! I’m assured by my feed that the show actually takes a while to get good, but my feed is full of liars and filthy robot-likers, so I am not fooled by their conniving ways. G Gundam will have to live or die on its own merits, based on my stringent and robot-suspicious dramatic senses. PROVE YOURSELF, G GUNDAM!

G Gundam – Episode 1

Hello and welcome! Today I’m starting on a new notes project – G Gundam, the most hot-blooded and over-the-top of all Gundam properties. G Gundam actually embraces the camp inherent in giant robots, and harkens back more to classic super robots than the variably serious scifi stylings that Gundam helped bring to the genre. I’m not really fond of super robots on the whole, but I can enjoy a robot show executed with great flair or personality (Giant Robo, Turn A Gundam), so I guess we’ll have to see where this one falls. Let’s get right into the action!
