Anything can happen in this ridiculous friggin’ show, so let’s see what portion of anything today will provide!

Nichijou – Episode 8
And we’re back! Last episode saw Nichijou’s various subgroups nearly approaching a meeting, which I’m sure portends good things for the future. I’ve regularly heard this show actually improves as it goes along, and considering its quality is already best-in-class among anime comedies, I’m excited to see how that’s possible. Let’s dive right in to another friggin’ episode of Nichijou!
Nichijou – Episode 7
That time has come again. Pull up a seat, grab a snack, and let’s dive into another episode of Kyoto Animation’s stupidly brilliant and brilliantly stupid comic masterpiece. There are some changes to the formula this time, as the show seems to have established what passes for a sense of normalcy, but Nichijou is still full of its sharp, absurd, and very endearing gags. We’re all busy people, so let’s get right to it and watch some cartoon madness.
Nichijou – Episode 6
Nichijou is coming. Nichijou out of the floorboards, Nichijou out of the cracks in the walls. Nichijou is in your home, whispering in the corners, watching as you turn out the light. Nichijou is close now, its breath cold on your cheek. NICHIJOU IS HERE.
Alright let’s get right to it.
Nichijou – Episode 5
WHAT THE HECK IT’S NICHIJOU AGAIN. Nichijou remains an incredible, impeccably crafted ride through its fifth episode, and so I’m here to make my drooling way through its various treasures. We’ve got some thoughts on the show’s pacing this time, as well as more of the usual elaboration of the precise dynamic created by the three leads. It’s all heady, serious comedy craft here in Nichijou-land, and I urge you all to take it very seriously. NOW LET’S WATCH SOME SILLY CARTOONS.
Nichijou – Episode 4
What the hell it’s more Nichijou. The show has established as much of a rhythm as something this ridiculous can, but there’s still plenty of fun craft to poke at and uncover. Though comedy being highly personal is a general truism, I personally find the craft of comedy one of the most rewarding things to talk about. Comedy is like music, or language – there’s a clear rhythm to it, and internal narratives of tension and release that give it a real sense of cohesion and beauty. So let’s ponder the beauty of comedy as we watch a show about a talking cat and a girl with a key in her back.
Nichijou – Episode 3
The Nichijou train continues, as I fire off a series of staid, thoughtful reactions to three girls dunking on each other and a robot with a giant key in its back. This episode was framed from the perspective of Nano and the professor’s cat, and cats are good, so this was a good episode. I also spend some time rambling about the various dramatic roles played by the three high school characters. There’s lots of jokes to laboriously critique today, so let’s get right to it!
Nichijou – Episode 2
Welp, I’m still burning through Nichijou, and it’s still offering a wild menagerie of jokes to comment on. As with the first episode, I found enough to comment on just within my notes that I’m making the second episode an article in its own right. These are almost turning into accidental time-stamp writeups, which is very craft of you guys to trick me into doing. Let’s get right to episode two!
